Why We Decided to Go Online
Hi sweet friends!
Gosh, last week was incredible. We were absolutely blown away by the love and support we felt from you all. It was overwhelming in the BEST way! We wanted to start this week’s blog post off by simply saying, “thank you”. The Gallery has been a dream of our’s for a long time. Since it’s launch in 2017, it has continued to change and grow based on what was going on at the moment. Through every season though, the main goal of our gallery has always been to bring joy and inspire others through art; all while supporting our dear friends at the Forrest Spence Fund (https://forrestspencefund.org).
After last week, We received lot’s of questions asking about why we decided to switch to an online model. We thought this weeks blog post would be a great way to explain a little bit more about how the switch came about, and also why we are so excited about it.
Like we mentioned earlier, this gallery has always been a big dream of ours. The idea for it originally came about after we lost our first daughter, Georgia Grace. We will share more about that in a future blog post, but her life was really the catalyst that sparked the idea of the gallery and made it into a reality.
The very first launch of G. Grace Gallery was in 2017. We had gathered a group of incredible artists and threw a party at our office space to celebrate the kick off. We had so many friends show up and we were so happy with how everything went. The original model allowed for customers to come by our shop to see the art in person. We operated in this way for a few years and had a lot of success. We would post photos of available art on our instagram and then would allow anyone interested in the art to swing by and see. This worked well until 2020 when our whole world was shaken by one thing - COVID. This virus shut the world down and completely altered how many small businesses operated. We tried a few different models during this time. All of these different methods were fine, but really never felt quite like us. We were trying so many different things that we lost sight of what was really important to us (connection and supporting our friends at Forrest Spence). At the beginning of this year our team sat down and talked through everything G. Grace. We wanted to get to the heart of the gallery and get back to who we really are. After brainstorming, talking with artist’s, and lots of prayer, we came up with the online gallery model. With all the changes that COVID brought to the world, we realized that people are online more than ever before. By setting up our gallery in this model, we are able to connect with people from around the world and provide access to our art and our story. We are so very excited and cannot wait to see how this online model takes off!
Before we go, we wanted to share a few dates of what’s upcoming with the gallery:
10/15 - Announcement of the very first exclusive G. Grace Gallery artist collection
10/16 - Shop opens with current available art
10/18 - Blog Post: How to Shop at G. Grace Gallery

We hope this blog brings some insight into the heart behind this big change and also some clarity for the future of G. Grace Gallery. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this and for helping us make this dream Gallery a success. We could not do this without you!
